This leather is the original Brompton leather finished with wax and oils. This supple leather improves over time, developing a rich natural vintage appearance. This leather is for those that want the very best. Only 5% of the world's hides are used for this leather. Don't be fooled by knockoffs of this leather seen elsewhere. Shown in Cocoa. Also available in Brompton Vintage, Brompton Walnut and Brompton Black. New from the Italian Tannery that produces Brompton, Echo leather. Echo has similar characteristics to Brompton and is comparable in quality. Due to a new technology Echo has a new range of colors, choose from Echo Smoke, Echo Charcoal, Echo Blue Marlin (navy), Echo Merlot and Echo Cigar.

Our set has eight-way, hand-tied construction - the ultimate in durability and comfort. Superior to "No-Sag" sinuous springs systems and machine made Flexolator^TM suspensions. Don't be misled by those that tell you sinuous springs and Flexolators^TM springs are as good as eight-way hand tied systems. Also be aware of sets, often imports, usually available in one color only, constructed with an "Interwoven web base and webbed back construction" (also referred to as "Pirelli Webbing") A webbing-base and back construction is essentially a rubberized material, woven like what you might find on an "old lawn chair." This type of construction usually sags and "bottoms out" within a few years. Eight-way hand tied systems are found in only the very best quality sets, from top-end manufacturers and are built to last a lifetime. This system gives the furniture an even comfort level and that will not bottom out. Sinuous spring and webbing systems are found in all the low end sets-sofas selling for $399, for example. This set is a sizable investment, make sure it will last by choosing the proper construction.

These frames are milled in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina and Virginia, not outside of the USA. Frames are also glued, screwed and stapled and padded for additional comfort.

Each piece features secured yet removable seat cushions and back cushions for ease of cleaning, service and superb seating comfort. This type of cushioning enables you to rotate seat cushions to minimize normal crushing and to fine tune the back padding for individual taste.
